Stars & Stocking

Lots of swaps coming up for me. Here are my three stars for the star swap on CPS...

And since I had leftover material (fabric pressed to both sides of a piece of lutradur), I used the same fabric to make the stocking for my swap with Ev:

These pieces have as much purple as the do blue, but purple just doesn't photograph. Why is that?

Love the fabric but have no clue why it doesn't photograph properly!

The stars are WONDERFUL! And Ev will just love the stocking! It makes me wish I'd used that stocking pattern, but I didn't. (Big surprise, huh? Kai and her waywardness! LOL!) You are really on top of things! BEAUTIFUL!

Sue, love the stars and glitter!Very pretty stocking also...something weird about getting a true purple to photograph...I hear it a lot, and can't do it often w/my projects. The ONLY ones that did properly I took outdoors in sunshine....
you've been a busy artist last week!

Sue, there is a free program out there called "Irfanview" that allows some photo editing. Although my computer abilities are somewhat limited, I have fiddled around with this and it has some editing that really helps to brighten up and sometimes correct colors. Photos of autumn leaves are never nearly as spectacular when photographed, but with the aid of Irfanview, I was able to adjust colorization and get more "true" colors. If you get a minute, take a look through some of the leaf photos on my blog:
