Testing a pattern - The Stump Sisters

I'm in the process of testing a pattern for Judi W. I've spent the bulk of my time so far reading and re-reading the instructions and being a PITA to Judi. I finally began cutting, layout, and some construction on Saturday evening. Last night I was able to get enough of the body put together that I could stuff while watching "24." This is a view of the front:

These are the views of the side, before I got the bottom fully rounded. Kind of a cute little pointy bottom, no? When I took the photos, the shoulders weren't packed yet, nor was the neck stuffed.

Also, last night, I sewed the head and hands, but have yet to stuff and complete them. And, with this voluptous figure, I have to add an enhanced bosom!

This doll has gone together easily, and even the finely detailed hands have been a pleasure to work with. I can't wait to get back to her this evening. I have already picked up two new tips from Judi's pattern which I will incorporate into future dollmaking.

It's good to see you blogging again -- I've missed you! I've been watching the progress of this pattern on Judi's blog. I can't wait to see what you do with her. I look forward to this one being published. It's such a unique look.

Yep, she does have quite the bottom, doesn't she! If you use my Super Secret Smoothing tip she rounds out nicely. She has a great shape! Love the blues - I can't wait to see how she turns out!
