Today

Much as I want to complain about the never ending winter, it really serves no purpose, does it? So, I'll just try to remember to keep taking that extra Vitamin D, and focus on the beauty around me.

Here are some shots I took today.

Poor mourning dove, hunkered down on the deck railing, ruffled by the constant wind...

A little altar of inspiration to put me in a New Mexico state of mind:

Cosmo thinks that when I do laundry that includes rugs, I fold them just for him. He also likes to "help' when I put fresh linens on the bed.

Tomorrow, I should be able to post some in-progress photos of the doll I'm making with Sherry Goshon's "Jelly Bean" pattern. Here are a couple of looks at the fabric auditioning, and the decision making process:

Good morning, Sue! Poor little dove looks so forlorn, waiting for spring. We have a pair coming to the feeder already, very early for them here I think. I'm anxious to see your Jelly Bean!

How regal Cosmo looks on his perfect white and comfortable throne...

love the colours for the doll... and YIKES! the decision must have been a tough one with all that beautiful fabric to go through, touch and play with while choosing... ......

That poor dove does look cold! Love your dish garden- what are those plants?

Cosmo looks quite content and comfortable. How kind of you to launder a rug just for him to recline on-LOL!

Good grief, you have so much fabric- so pretty all those colors and patterns stacked together. I look forward to seeing your Jelly Bean come to life.

Sue,

Poor little dove is freezing! We get doves here too. They love to EAT! When we fill the bird feeders they must be watching us with binocular's (LOL) because as soon as we enter the house they are eating away! :)
Then the quail come and it is bye-bye doves........The quail beat them up! LOL
Your cat is so cute.

Oh what yummy looking fabrics and your kitty is beautiful. I bet he just merges with the snow when he goes out.

Our mourning doves are much too shy to come so close to the house, but I can hear their lovely call anyway. Yours does look a bit forlorn, poor thing. But spring IS coming.
