This week's theme is favorite color. Hands down, my "go to" color is aqua/turquoise/blue-green - whatever you want to call it. There are secondary colors, most of which go well with aqua, such as apple green, purple, and pink, but if I have to choose one...I tend to avoid yellows and reds, especially in home decor, but I do love peachy shades - especially with a light aqua.
The photo above captures just about everything I love, and I feel my heart ease a little when I look at this, or the actual setting. The silk and gold thread runner (toss in a little glimmer and I'm there!), roses in pale and creamy shades, a vintage cream pitcher in my beloved pale aqua... life is good.

You are right...your color choices are calming as well as beautiful. I have always been partial to the peach family of colors. My mom always said that my color was peach...funny, I tend towards red now....Have a great day...Shelly

We definitely have similar tastes in colours, Sue....a lovely picture! I had a short stint of liking peach in my 30's. When I look through home decorating magazines, I can chop and change a bit but I always fall back to my turquoise/aqua/teal, purples and lime green. :)
I could definitely live at your house.... well, for the colour palette anyway... do you have cookies? ....
