I'm Hopeless - A Small Dissertation on Color Preference

Last night I had about an hour to play, and decided to paint some muslin, based on Alma Stoller's tutorial. I had a good time playing with the paints and Lumiere, and hung the fabrics on the railing to dry overnight. When I woke this morning, they were dry, and I have: MORE OF THE SAME COLORS I ALWAYS USE! I guess when something is your favorite, it's your favorite, regardless. I thought I was being so creative, but here we are...more of the same, LOL!

This is fabric 1, zoomed in (or out) at different levels:

And here is Fabric 2, varying degrees of zoom:

I do have some primary colors, and I guess I just have to grimace and use them. I was going for something new and different, LOL!

LOL! What can I say? We ALL know I gravitate toward that red crayon in the box every time! Your fabric looks lovely, though! So you've created pieces YOU like! And you will make something beautiful WITH it!

Hi Sue,

Your piece looks great. I like that shade as a base color. I seem to always start off with yellow...I will have to give that a try.

Thanks for sharing,
Alma
