Many of these photos were taken in the same general location as the "before" I posted a couple days ago.
While trying to get photos of the deck plants, I realized the sky was a little rumbly. Here's a shot of the storm moving in.
And the ducks having a gourmet meal of fresh tadpole at the water's edge.
Look at that cheerful fountain in front of that ominous sky!
I haven't grown dahlias in a very long time, but these really caught my eye.

WOW!! what a lot of planting work you did Norma! I'm busy doing some of my own so I know what you are going through.... my back is so sore I can't believe it though..usually by about the 3rd or 4th day out in the yard I toughen up....doesn't seem to be happening this year even though I have been working out with my exercising since Christmas...no fair!
The pots look great even if they are not totally filled in just yet...just you wait! They will be wonderful in a few weeks...
those dahlias are different than any I've ever seen...they are sort of fluffy in the center...I like them...
Sue,
Great work. All the plants look lovely in their pots.
Now you can sit back and enjoy! :)
Hugs
What a beautiful garden you have and the view looks lovely with the storm moving in. Looks like paradise on earth.
My heavens, you really accomplished a lot! Your deck is going to be glorious when everything is in full bloom, and the rest of your yard is shaping up beautifully too. That dark sky would have worried me, too, Sue, after having spent too many years in Kansas.
Ahhh...I just love your summer pics of all your pots filled and everything so colorful.
the pots look great to me :) are you going to post pictures when they do fill in?
what type of dahlias are they? they are very pretty :)
Your display looks pretty good now so I can imagine it will be magnificent when it is more mature and lush....lovely pics ~ :)
You did a great job on the planting. Your deck looks quite festive. I've managed to pot three plans thus far but your photos are inspiring me! =)
Love your blog. I've enjoyed it a lot. Great photos, good writing, what more could one want.
I wasn't paying attention, but I think I got your link from Sandy's blog. Now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to check your blog out. Its a keeper.
